RMA Evaluation Fees for returns
RMEF (Returned Material Evaluation Fees)
The following is our RMEF (Returned Material Evaluation Fees) policy for products returned in and out of the warranty period.
1. If product is returned within the one year warranty period (two years for S1A and SC-100s), and is found to have no defects in functioning or workmanship, there will be an evaluation fee of $75.00 and payment is required to be received prior to shipment.
2. If it is determined that the returned product is defective due to customer abuse, the $75.00 evaluation fee will apply. However, if the product is repairable and payment is received for the full repair cost, the evaluation fee will be waived.
3. If it is determined that the returned product failed due to workmanship or other factory defects, it will either be repaired or replaced per our terms and conditions.
Regardless of the warranty status upon return, no returned products will be held for more than 12 months on premises. Any unclaimed products will be considered ‘abandoned’ and disposed of according to company policy with no notice to the customer.
H.G.Schaevitz LLC dba Alliance Sensors Group (ASG) products are warranted for a period of one year (two years for LVDT signal conditioners, see exception below) commencing from the date of shipment to the original purchaser to be clear of title, free from defects in material and workmanship, and in conformity with ASG specifications. ASG’s liability under this warranty is limited to replacing or repairing any product returned by Buyer, at Buyer’s expense, during the warranty period which does not meet these warranty terms. The decision to repair or replace a non-conforming product is solely within ASG’s discretion, and does not include going into the field and replacing installed parts.
Further, this warranty does not extend to non-conformities or defects resulting from misuse, neglect, improper handling, improper installation, improper repair, improper testing, improper alteration, accident, or defects due to reasonable wear and tear, tampering, improper operation, improper storage, or fault on the part of any person other than ASG. ASG shall have the right to make the final determination as to the existence and cause of a defect or non-conformity.
ASG makes no other warranty and expressly disclaims all other warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose even if that purpose is known to ASG, or any warranty relating to patents, trademarks, copyrights, or other intellectual property. Repair or replacement of the non-conforming product is Buyer’s exclusive and sole remedy for breach of these warranty terms. In no event shall ASG be liable for collateral, consequential, punitive damages or losses, including lost profits, or any other direct or indirect damages or losses. No agreement extending or modifying these warranty terms shall be binding upon ASG unless in writing and signed by a duly authorized company officer.
To submit a claim under the provisions of this warranty, the claimant must secure an RMA (Returned Material Authorization) number by contacting Alliance Sensors Group at: 856-727-0250 or by sending a letter, or by e-mailing to firstname.lastname@example.org.
