The ME-7 Series Embeddable Inductive Linear Position Sensor from Alliance Sensors Group is designed to be a drop-in, form, fit and function replacement for magnetostrictive sensors but with a much more robust construction and at a lower sell price and cost of ownership. Available in Ranges from 2" to 36", the ME-7 was designed to specifically target embedded industrial or subsea hydraulic and pneumatic actuator and cylinder applications. The ME-7 Series is based on proprietary, contactless inductive sensing technology that employs a unique solid 7mm diameter probe construction and only requires a simple conductive tube target (or simply the gun drill ID of the cylinder rod) for operation, rather than a magnet or some other special target type.
The Alliance Sensors Group LA-25 Series LVDT linear position sensors are designed to handle extreme industrial environments. This robust linear sensor has a sturdy one-inch (25.4 mm) diameter aluminum housing (also available in stainless steel), two double contact shaft seals to keep fluids and solid contaminants out of its bore, and is offered standard with an axial Euro-style connector or cable, and also can be obtained in a through-bore version with a radial connector or cable outlet.

The LVDT Signal Conditioner SC-100 DIN rail module from the Alliance Sensors Group ends the usual difficulties that accompany AC-LVDT set up with a built-in null indicator and simple front panel pushbuttons to set zero and full scale. Engineered to work with the widest range of AC-LVDTs and inductive half-bridges, the SC-100 module monitors LVDT operation and indicates most common failures.
The LA-27 is robust and designed to survive heavy duty applications in harsh environments. This robust linear position sensor has a 1.050” OD aluminum housing (stainless steel housings are available), two double contact shaft seals to keep dirt and debris out, and is offered standard with a 12 mm Turck style connector or as an option either a cable or MS style axial connector for compatibility to other manufactures products.
For mounting, the housing is offered with a threaded hex nut, lock washer and flat washer. This allows the user to drill a hole through a thick wall plate and locking the LVDT in place. The LA-27 core is encapsulated in the core extension rod assembly and can never break loose. The connecting rod comes with a beefy 5/16-24 UNC male thread making it easily mountable. An axial connector version with rod end attached to the core rod and the back of the sensor is available.
