ASG specializes in linear position sensors and electronics for steam control valves with its S1A LVDT signal conditioner, PG and LA LVDTs, and GE/Westinghouse LVDT/LVRT designs. The PG and LA (single, dual and tri-redundant) series LVDTs are drop in replacements for GE and Westinghouse steam turbine LVDTs and half-bridge sensors but with added features such as an encapsulated core, double shaft seals, and terminal connections for larger wire sizes. The S1A LVDT signal conditioner can be used with LVDTs, half bridge sensors, and GE gas turbine LVDTs. ASG also offers GE gas turbine LVDTs (pt# 311A5178), GE steam turbine LVRTs (pt#s 119C9638, 119C9639, and 196C8768) and Westinghouse LVDTs (pt# 738J204).

The Alliance Sensors Group PGxR Series linear sensors are the first LVDT-based valve position sensors designed and engineered specifically for applications in electric power generating steam turbine control systems where radiation is present. Materials selected for the Alliance Sensors Group PGxR Sensors allow the sensor to survive a dose of 30 Mrads for 40 years. The PGxR series comes in 2 versions- the PGHR heavy duty LVDT and the PGSR super duty LVDT. PGxR Series sensors are available in full ranges of 3 inches 6 inches, 9 inches, 12 inches, and 15 inches.
