Many features of the Alliance Sensors Group PG Sensors were requested by power gen controls engineers and are embodied in all PG models, including the PGHD Heavy Duty LVDT, the PGSD Super Duty LVDT, and the PGRR mild Radiation Resistant super duty LVDT. LVDT Linear Position Sensors PGxR mild Radiation Resistant Series Power Generation Steam Control ValvesSpecifically Designed and Engineered for Applications Where Radiation is Present in Power Generating Steam Turbine Control Systems The Alliance Sensors Group PGxR Series linear sensors are the first LVDT-based valve position sensors designed and engineered specifically for applications in electric power generating steam turbine control systems where radiation is present. Materials selected for the Alliance Sensors Group PGxR Sensors allow the sensor to survive a dose of 30 Mrads for 40 years. The PGxR series comes in 2 versions- the PGHR heavy duty LVDT and the PGSR super duty LVDT. PGxR Series sensors are available in full ranges of 3 inches 6 inches, 9 inches, 12 inches, and 15 inches. LVDT Linear Position Sensors LA-27 Series The LA-27 is robust and designed to survive heavy duty applications in harsh environments. This robust linear position sensor has a 1.050” OD aluminum housing (stainless steel housings are available), two double contact shaft seals to keep dirt and debris out, and is offered standard with a 12 mm Turck style connector or as an option either a cable or MS style axial connector for compatibility to other manufactures products. For mounting, the housing is offered with a threaded hex nut, lock washer and flat washer. This allows the user to drill a hole through a thick wall plate and locking the LVDT in place. The LA-27 core is encapsulated in the core extension rod assembly and can never break loose. The connecting rod comes with a beefy 5/16-24 UNC male thread making it easily mountable. An axial connector version with rod end attached to the core rod and the back of the sensor is available. LVDT Signal Conditioner DIN Rail Mounted S1A Series Specifically Designed and Engineered for Applications in Power Generating Steam Turbine Control SystemsWorld's Most Advanced AC-LVDT Signal Conditioner The LVDT Signal Conditioner S1A DIN rail module from the Alliance Sensors Group ends the usual difficulties that accompany AC-LVDT set up with a built-in null indicator and simple front panel pushbuttons to set zero and full scale. Engineered to work with the widest range of AC-LVDTs and inductive half-bridges, the S1A module monitors LVDT operation and indicates most common failures. The S1A offers a choice of four excitation frequencies and eight analog DC outputs, as well as an RS-485 digital communications port.
