Having wide capabilities at custom machining and the experience that goes with it, we will complete your project to your satisfaction. Complementing the manufacturing process is a full-capacity CAD system to document every product.

Alliance Sensors Group, founded 2012 by Harold Schaevitz and his father Howard Schaevitz, continues the Schaevitz family tradition in the sensor industry of developing and marketing innovative position sensors and related electronics to serve design engineers who create automation and testing systems in the manufacturing, energy production, industrial and mobile hydraulics, and defense fields, as well as R&D and labrotary test and measurement systems.

Alliance Sensors Group draws upon a wealth of our design engineering and applications engineering team has over 135 years of combined experience in the position sensor and measurement instrumentation fields.

By applying the most highly capable and economical position sensing technologies available and the outstanding applications engineering and product integration expertise needed to achieve the full potential of those technologies, Alliance Sensors Group offers the motion control market the best of all worlds…integrated, cost effective position sensing solutions that are totally requirement based.

LVIT Position Sensing Technology
Among the world class technologies Alliance Sensors Group offers developed and patented by David Nyce, Alliance Sensors Group is rolling out this technology for the OEM fluid power applications. When combined with Alliance Sensors Group advanced microprocessor enhanced support electronics, The sensors are highly economical, contactless, “distributed impedance” based sensors that will work with any conductive target and are not susceptible to the influence of magnetic fields.

Just tell us what you need to do!
When you contact Alliance Sensors Group, just tell us what you need to do in position sensing to make your application work. We will either find or create a solution, or direct you to a solution if we believe that one exists.

Howard A. Schaevitz

Chairman of the Board

Howard Schaevitz, formerly Chairman of the Board of Schaevitz Engineering, has spent fifty years in the sensor business. Schaevitz Engineering, founded by his father, Herman Schaevitz, was the pioneering company in LVDTs, and under Howard's skillful guidance, the company grew substantially to become a major sensor manufacturer based on multiple technologies. He vigorously sponsored the invention and early development of both LVIT and RVIT technologies, which form the basis for a significant portion of the position sensors that Alliance Sensors Group manufactures and markets today.

Harold Schaevitz

President

Harold Schaevitz is the third generation in the sensor industry starting his career in 1981 at Schaevitz Engineering as a buyer and later promoted to eastern regional sales manager. Founded Schaevitz Interetech in 1990 and in 2009 founded Sensing Solutions, A div of Harold G Schaevitz LLC as president, specializing in marketing American made position, rotary and tilt sensing products in the Far East.

Edward E. Herceg

Chief Technology Officer, Chief Applications Engineer

Edward Herceg is widely recognized as one of the most accomplished electro-mechanical applications engineers and technical marketers in the sensor industry today. His training, knowledge, and experience cover not only the sensor world, but a broad range of disciplines including electrical, chemical, mechanical, structural, and materials sciences. Early in his career, Mr. Herceg was chief engineer at Schaevitz Engineering, originally well known as the pioneer in LVDTs, which ultimately became a major multi-technology position sensor manufacturer. While there, he authored the "Schaevitz Handbook of Measurement and Control," the first book written on the subject of LVDT position sensors. Later, while at Schaevitz, he oversaw the development of the first LVIT/RVIT position sensors and headed the Schaevitz division that first brought LVIT/RVIT position sensing technology to the market.

John R. Matlack

Executive Sales and Marketing Director

John Matlack began his career in the sensor industry by working with Lucas Schaevitz in 1990. Initially hired as an applications engineering, he was later promoted to business development manager for the position product line and then regional sales manager for numerous sensor technologies under the Measurement Specialties portfolio. In 2009 John left MSI to and worked for Metrom as Manager of Global Business Development.
